I teach in the UK and like the theory that you can change the behavior of a student by whacking them a few times on the butt - if only life were that simple! I could never spank a student (male or female) with a clear conscience. How ANY guy can claim they have no sexual feeling for a teenage girl I just don't know. It is built in to the brain but as professionals, and by what is socially acceptable, most of us accept the fact that it is a no-go area and get on with our lives without really thinking about it. Those who cannot control themselves end up in jail if caught and find themselves labeled as a sex offender.
I was in school when corporal punishment was still legal and despised the teachers who really seemed to enjoy it. There were not many, but it was clear they saw corporal punishment as a perk of the job, even in a boys' school.
Your site certainly gives people something to think about but the other thing you should do is to name and shame the schools concerned. These people need to be made accountable outside their own little worlds.
